Felted Bird Workshop - May 22
Learn how to needle felt a beautiful wool cardinal in this relaxed and supportive environment! In this beginner friendly class, you will learn how to make your own needle felted bird from start to finish. Clay beaks, eyes and wooden Poplar stands will be provided. All materials are included, including foam mats, felting needles and wool. Laura will guide everyone through the process and demonstrate how to create the body shape, small details and finishing touches. She will offer creative input and talk through how felting works… answering any questions you might have! Finished bird will measure about 3.5” on the stand and about 3” long- perfect for desks, shelves and table decor.
Needles are very sharp, so the class is not recommended for children younger than 12. This is a detail oriented class, so come with patience and a smile! No experience is necessary.
Felting mats, needles, and colorful wool will be available for purchase after the class so you can continue to have fun with your new skill!
Class starts at 1 and will last approximately 2 hours - Some people may finish sooner depending on how fast they felt or amount of detail added.
